Re: Valach 210 4-Stroke

I've received a couple PM's asking about fuel consumption and realized that I haven't posted much about this!!

When I had the 3W220CS in the Pitts, I was using 2L of fuel and I could get about 16 minutes to a tank.

I have since downsized to a single 1L fuel tank with the Valach210. A 12 minute flight will consume about 650mL

Best part of that is not having to haul around 1L of fuel or ~2lbs less flying weight

I'm having a blast with it this year!! Did last year also, but was always a bit nervous due to it's size. This year, I'm more relaxed

With the Fiala 36x14 this has just a hair less thrust than the 3W220, but the power delivery on this 4-stroke is so different!! - just a huge tractor in the air!

Next time we're out, you can feel it for yourself

Re: Valach 210 4-Stroke

I had the Valach210 out today again!!

Simply awesome power and a one of a kind sound!!! It could be leaned out a hair more, but getting pretty close now!! It has really come alive
.
.

Funny thing is that up until this flight, my servo has never been giving me full throttle (a long story, but a surprise of a find, LOL!)

Anyways - this flight is after about 12L of fuel and I'm now running 32:1 per the recommended. The prop is the mighty Fiala 36x14!!!

Yep - I'm really liking it!! Every part of the VM210 exudes quality, just like the Moki's... true jewels!!

Gerhard at Toni-Clark in Germany has been a huge help so far. It was been a bit of a trick to find the correct props, because the spec'd props are all Fiala props, which Gerhard agrees, appear to spin must easier than the props we have at our disposal on this side of the pond!!

I'm really excited to try out my Fiala 36x12 and 36x14, since Gerhard claims (and we can see in the video) that the VM210 loves!!

Cheers
