Re: eflite P51B mustang - Any TIPs for me?? Thx much for the valuable tidbits retiree cafs. I had my mustang out tonight.......it was soo smooth......ldgs are getting better....slightly more airspeed seems to be better than NOT ENOUGH!!!

Re: eflite P51B mustang - Any TIPs for me?? Hi ACav8r. Actually, with the paint on, it seems the Ultracote tends to be more stable. The UltraCote covering is designed to accept a painted finish from the start. I have to iron it out once in a while but it does affect the paint. The paint appear to be somewhat flexible.... |

Re: eflite P51B mustang - Any TIPs for me?? Hey retiree caf, after you flatten and paint the mustang......what if the skin becomes loose? I now take my iron out and tighten up the skin, if you flatten and paint her, do you still do that or that will prob smear the paint right?? Thx again |

Re: eflite P51B mustang - Any TIPs for me?? Well, its had 2 flts on her now! Nice flying plane.....but hard to see up there. I have the elevator mixed with flaps.....but had too much down on the elevator, so as i select full flap it would descend quite a bit. None the less, I still did use full flap for ldg. Using the eflite 32 motor with a 4000 mAh 4s pack. Did a couple Go Arounds and then finally got set up. Elevator is pitchy, doesnt take much and i ballooned up again......the wing started to stall and wingover.....so i added more pwr and I managed to land ok. Boy, she looks good up there with the gear in the wells! |

Re: eflite P51B mustang - Any TIPs for me?? Thanks ACav8r, only used approx 20% flaps. Will try full flaps next weekend. This was my first paint job... turned out ok I guess specially with the faked bullet holes... I did all the makrkings using AutoCad. |
