We had planes from balsa to foam. Oldtime flyers to ducted fans. Scratch builds to ARF's. A really nice assortment showing the hobby. Again, a thankyou to the 17 pilots and all the helpers who made this a successful first event. Chris |

Re: Simcoe Electric Fun Fly -- Sat. July 28th, 2012 Just sending out a reminder of our Electric Fun Fly July 28th. If you have never been to our field. Our flying site is big, wide and open with zero obstructions. As we fly from a sod farm, we don't have a permanent location and move our landing area around as the sod is removed. This year we are located in the middle of the farm and north facing from the sun. As there are no trees where we are it would be advisable to bring some sort of shade. I should also mention that there is no electrical hookup for charging. Looking forward to a great day of flying!!! Chris |

Simcoe Electric Fun Fly -- Sunday July 29th, 2012 ------*Note Date change* Pics Added  **Due to forecast thunderstorms and high winds for most of the day Saturday, we are cancelling the Electric Fun Fly on the 28th. We will take advantage of our raindate and the Electric Fun Fly is now planned for the next day. Sunday July 29th. 10am till 3pm. The forecast is more favourable. Sunny all day with 5km winds. Come on out and enjoy the day with us!!! Chris **SIMCOE Electric FUN FLY hosted by the Simcoe R/C Flying Club. Saturday July 28th - 10:00am till 3:00pm. Located at our field on the Demaree Sod Farm. Turn west off of Hwy24 onto Windham Rd 12 (Harmony Rd.) (at the Agraturf Dealer) Travel 1/2 mile to the laneway on the north side. (911# 1567) Side entrance to Demaree Sod Farm. Follow the signs in! This is our first Electric Fun Fly. We are planning a low key fun event. Come on out to one of the best fields around and enjoy a relaxed social event with other Electric pilots. All electric powered aircraft, fixed wing or rotary welcome! No fuel powered till after 3pm. MAAC required. No proof of MAAC no flying! This will be a brown bag event this year. No food available, bring your own. Drinks available. Pilot Prizes, 50/50, Raffle for a BNF MQX Micro Quad-Copter. No landing fee. Rain Date: Sunday July 29th. All 72 MHz radio transmitters will be impounded (no impound for 2.4 GHz). Follow this thread for any last minute changes about the funfly.
