Re: Mission Wings RC Heli Fun Fly Well, the day turned out well!!!! I forgot to bring my camera with me but there are a number of great pictures posted on Facebook. I'll see if I can get some the guys to post their pictures here as well. The weather held out and we had a great day of flying. Thanks to everyone who helped out and thanks to everyone who showed up. |

Re: Mission Wings RC Heli Fun Fly well that sucks. Then maybe you need to host one at your field and invite everyone from around you to come out.  The fact remains though that most of the time, a person will need to do some traveling to get to a fun fly. This probably isn't the best spot to talk about this, as this thread is meant for the Mission Wings heli fun fly, but if you have the opportunity to travel there is a really nice heli fun fly near Kamloops BC during the August long weekend. July 29th to Aug 1st (Friday to Monday) is the High Country Flyers RC helicopter fun fly. I know the organizers of it and they're trying to make it one of the biggest events in western Canada if not the biggest in Canada. This will only be it's second year in existence but they already have been able to secure some pretty big names to come out. That just might be a fun fly that would be worth the trip. In fact there are 3 nice heli events all happening in a row for the next 3 weeks starting with the Mission Wings one. Then the PDQ flyers are having one on Vancouver Island then that Kamloops one is the one to finish it. I'm taking 2 weeks off of work so I can attend all 3. |
