Re: **New** 50cc Checkmate from Aero-Works Hi Doug; When I talked about needing to make cut outs for the plugs in the cowl , a person had asked about a DLE 40 cc twin . That is a very nice motor install in your Checkmate and I'm thinking a very nice sound when in the air . I hope you have enjoyed your Checkmate , as much as I have enjoyed mine I see that June 25th. is going to be National Biplane Day --- hope to have mine up for some flights on that date Thanks again for your post , for all to see Ray |

Re: **New** 50cc Checkmate from Aero-Works Here are some pics of the engine installation, I do not have very good ones, sorry. I added 1/8 ply around the outer box plus another 1/4 ply firewall. The pics do not show the 1/4 ply reinforcement on the under side of the motor mount. Everything fits neatly inside the cowl. Plenty of power for non 3d style aerobatics, with a great presence in the air especially on sunny days. Attachment 840346 Attachment 840354 Attachment 840362 |
