Re: NI-mh Battery Question Oh, that's ok, not really a problem, I replace my battery connectors with waterproof locking ones, as I run my batteries "Wet" |

Re: NI-mh Battery Question Thank you Dennis, It would never have occurred to me that a battery could be backwards from the manufacturer. I WILL be checking this when it comes in with the old voltmeter. Thanks Kim |

Re: NI-mh Battery Question Holy crap, I didn't realise that...very interesting. I have old equipment, but thankfully nothing THAT old. I did contact the Asian supplier, and he did verify that this is actually connected to a probe to monitor the temperature of the battery during charging, as was suggested by a member earlier. Thanks Kim |

Re: NI-mh Battery Question Check the voltage at each connection. Some of the real old radios used a center tap battery pack, they used half the battery pack to move the servo one way and the other half to move the servo the other way. Make sure you give the pack a good long charge. The NMHi batteries tend to come up to full voltage quickly but it take a long time to fill the capacity. Charge at 1/20th the capacity. It will get warm when full. At 1/10th when full they get quite hot. |

Re: NI-mh Battery Question Make sure you verify the capacity in mah before you use the battery. I've bought from Ebay and found the capacity of the battery was a third of what it was rated for. Floyd |

Re: NI-mh Battery Question Watch that battery Kim. It looks like it's wired up backwards. The red wire should be in the middle. Regards, Dennis |

Re: NI-mh Battery Question Did a quick Google search and from what I found the 3rd wire is for battery temperature. that being said however, the thread was from 2007 |
