Re: Gas engines

Amsoil 100:1 no problem for several seasons on all my DLE engines. Fly year round and burn up to 15 gallons a year. I mix it 75 or 80 :1.

Re: Gas engines

Yes red high temp gasket maker. Make sure there's no gas/oil residue on the flanges before applying. And take care not to get any inside of the exhaust flange. You just need a nice continuous bead all the way around. And put some on the bolts too is what I do. Most important step is the tighten. Heat then retighten. I rearely have headers come loose using this method.

Re: Gas engines

I'm pretty sure he does have some. But most of us toss em in the trash and use the red high temp gasket maker . Or Honda bond. Tighten then heat the header and bolts to operating temps with a torche and relighten. If I remember I will tell him to check this thread in the morning.
