Re: C.g. 550 Mervin, I think it came with a Mabuchi 550 brushed motor. You would need a 30 Amp ESC brushed controller or you could go with a 26mm brushless motor and a 25A esc. An 8 x 4 or 9 x 6 prop would be your target load. Let me know if you want a 550 |

C.g. 550 Anyone remember the Carl Goldberg 550? Ran across the plans last night looking for something else. Forgot about that one, decent performer back in the brushed motor/nicad days! Had a Astro .05 geared with 7 cells in mine. I think it would work very well on LiPo/brushless technology, no mods needed apart from the fire wall! Hmmm! Think I still have the wing & maybe a spare cowl...  Anyone done one lately? |
