Re: HK USA Warehouse Shipping Policy Lipos shipped via USPS may be a thing of the past. Found this on a Banana Hobby ad. NOTICE: Effective May 16 2012 until January 2013, the United States Postal Service (USPS) will not be able to accept packages containing lithium batteries and electronic devices containing lithium batteries addressed to international destinations. This includes mail destined to, or from, APO (Army Post Office), FPO (Fleet Post Office) and DPO (Diplomatic Post Office) locations. In order to fulfill your order, the lithium battery may need to be removed from your order, or you may need to upgrade to a UPS shipping method. See here for more information. Please contact us for more details before placing your order. http://www.bananahobby.com/2363.html And so not good news if you prefer ordering lipos from HobbyPartz CA ($10 fixed shipping cost) rather than HobbyKing. Probably only a matter of time before same restrictions apply for Canada Post thereby shutting down ordering lipos from HK. Don't get the "until January 2013" though ??? |

Re: HK USA Warehouse Shipping Policy No more US to Canada Lithium shipping via USPS so I guess most of our business will now be from HongKong. USPS has just screwed a lot of US businesses re: Canadian purchases. |

Re: HK USA Warehouse Shipping Policy Let us all know if the charges are included when the next order arrives. I for one won't take the chance of it not being accurate. if I can't order from HK Hong Kong Warehouse I don't buy it. Likewise for any US based vendor, USPS or no order. |

Re: HK USA Warehouse Shipping Policy Sorry Xanada, I misunderstood - I thought the OP was expecting brokerage charges on top of the shipping he was quoted. As I understand it that is the standard MO for UPS - the quoted shipping charge is $XX but then they also want $YY at the door for brokerage fees before handing over your package. It has been confirmed that the brokerage fee is already included in the quoted shipping prices from HK USA. |
