imported_Ellis420 seems like it was the bearings. i hadnt taken it apart to see how it works yet.

all fine now.

dusty66 I would think all you need to do is change the bearings, maybe even just pull it apart and clean it well.

brushless motor screeching

Im wondering what could cause a brushless motor to whine and make ugly sounds.

went out to the track, the car was a little slow.. than noticed a noise. it got 100x worse once i inspected the motor, with the motor removed, it makes a screeching, almost a grind sound. everyone at the track was going

im going to wd40 it, but other than that what can i do to check out the motor?

i dont have another motor to try to test the ESC.

also, i was checking the screws for the esc, tightened one and it seems to have broke where it grabs. its a tiny tiny screw, the threads are maybe 1mm, and uses a small hex. i doubt it, but could i have cracked the pcb or something? from what i can tell, the esc works, just the motor is having issues.

going to order a new esc and 2 motors i think.
