Re: AMR Stick 50

Yeah I was worried about the prop clearance. I'll definitely go with a 3 blade prop. Good idea.
I'm using 2 a123 batteries.
Haven't checked the weight, I'm assuming its nearly over 30lbs. Next time I have it together I'll weigh it.

Good to hear you had success. If you used the stock landing gear I would suggest a 27"or3 blade prop with a EME 120 on a grass strip. Not sure what you are using for batteries but with a DA100 I had to mount 2 2300life just behind the servo tray. In the tail. Did you happen to check the weight of your stick with the 55 on it?

Re: AMR Stick 50

Well, the maiden went well. Uneventful actually. 2 flights so far. Definitely needs more power than a 55. Thinking about an EME120 should be perfect.

Really like that scheme.

My son has the smaller 30cc as his first plane and it flies like a dream. We're on season #2 with it and he's flying it on his own now and will test for his wings in August. Kudos to AMR for an easy building! great flying lineup of sticks
Amr does make great stuff. We also have a trainer 50. Unreal how just a large plane can fly so slow! Love AMR stuff!

I'm running a Dm55. It's a clone of the the Dle55. I just rebuilt it over the winter.
I was thinkhg about putting a larger engine in it also. It did take about 4 pounds to balance it.
