Re: BlitzRCWorks Silver P-38 Lightning Build Thread

Hi Guys!

I know I am pretty late on that thread but I just found a NiB P-38 by Jpower, and as you mentioned here it is the same as the Blitz one, righ?

HAve you ever tried or flown this version?

I love the P-38 and I am a big fan of our Antoine de St-Exupery and I wanted a P-38 real bad but found out it is discontinued by Blitz everywhere...

I found the J-power , same size and more recent model, but are all the bugs you had to fix on the BH one resolved now witht he J-power?

I doubt it unfortunately.

Before spending $300 on it+e retract and batteries, I want your opinions and advice.

It's an ARF and here is what is required to fly it:

Required:

•Servos: 8g (7pcs)
•ESC: 20A Brushless ESC
•Battery: 1300mAh 11.1v 25C LiPO

I don't even know where to get those servos anymore since the plane is discountinued....

Should I refrain myself since no parts can be found for it or close ?

last ressort would be to buy one of those you guys have if inclined to sell your bird , of course.

I'm stuck between my love for that plane and the age/discountinued factor...

Any other brqnds doing a P-38 maybe...?

but that one was perfect size adn level needed to fly it ( i'm a noob still,;P)

trhanks for your help!!

Y-E

They will fit. you might have to mess with the spinners a bit. You can also buy the spinners.

They are designed for the same kind of bell motor.

The best I can suggest is to measure the diameter and take a guess at the pitch.

If you look on RCG there is a thread on this model where you might find the prop size.

Thanks. by any chance do you know what size prop I have to look for? I think everything is stuck and nothing as been changed on the plane.

This model is on its way out. All you can do is wait for hk to have stock or you can try to rework the spinners to use a diff 3 blade prop and 3 blade spinner.

Try the BH website. Expensive shipping!

The blitz version came from bananahobby not hobbyking. Even though they are both based on the jpower model the BH is a pirated version and HK made their own mods.
