Re: Marshal !

My 2 cents. I know I have missed a few times to Marshall. I'm the first to admit that. I do my best to get to the cars but when someone keeps on the throttle or even after you flip them over they roost you with dirt in your face. That to me is disrespectful. As for my kids marshaling. My son is very good at and keeps his head up a lot better then last year. Now my daughter I only have her Marshall SCT which is easier and safer for her. One of our team mates will Marshall for her if it's a nitro class.

Just my 2 cents

(I do agree that Ron was only being a gentlemen and wants to protects all the ladies)....lol...i am a ladies man u know...lol.didnt mean it in a sexist way.its just safer that way...unless your marline or yak54 wife they have been doing it for a long time.if one of our ladies or kids got smoked by one of these cars or trucks in the head or hurt them real bad the first thing most of us will say is wy where they out there marshalling in the first place or one of us guys should have been out there instead.i have seen this happen many times over the years...but it is a risk we all take when we go out to marshall..just my 2 cent..

Re: Marshal !

Until last summer, I didn't like to race because I couldn't marshal very well. I was way over weight and this made it very difficult for me to Marshall. I would always make sure that I had somebody to Marshall for me, but I would hear all the flack from people complaining that I didn't Marshall. That is the main reason I stopped going to Sid's to race. The people that know me knew that I had somebody marshal for me, but the other people who were there made it there goal in life to scream at me to let me know to get out there
Now that I have lost the weight I don't mind taking my turn at marshaling. Just putting out their that there might be a reason why u don't see certain people taking there turn

Re: Marshal !

Wow, John you just floor me. During the B main YOU stuffed YOUR car into the pipe. Then decided to stay in the gas as I tried to marshal it, never once going to idle yet alone brakes. Then you so gracefully flipped me off. About 10mins later you walked off the drivers stand to inform me how the PROS do it. me and the other people who saw your act, appreciate you stepping off your soap box. PS I do appreciate the work done after the rainfall. But your racing etiquette puts a dark shadow on it.

Re: Marshal !

Yeah we all do KNOW the problems with marshalling and saying enough is enough just makes guys like myself want to keep going on about it. Are you one of those guys that won't marshall because you think your better than anyone else and shouldn't have to marshall? When the nitro stampede happened here at R/C Gears last year we had Richard Saxton up here and that guy was awesome for racing and marhalling all the time, now that is how everyone out there should be about marshalling. Marshall the way you want people to marshall for you and everyone out there will be happy.
