Re: How to.Futaba Help

I'll have a boo at the manual, but at this point removing any mixing takes you back to what you would have with AIRPLANE mode.

Wish that was true, but if I read it correctly it wants it non ccpm mode . When all setups are done it is connected to computer via USB port and then set up. The flymenter now sets its own ccpm mode. Here is a link that will take you to the manual if you wish to take a quick peek

My thought is I need to mix channel 6 with channel 1 like when you use two servos on aileron without a y harness but that probably isn't correct

At this point set all your channel ATV's to 100%. You can tailor them later to have your servos move the correct amount, ie. fine tuning so the swash ends up even top and bottom.

In the DIRECTION menu for each channel you need to set up which way they move. Ch 1, 2, 4 and 5 are NORMAL, while 3 and 6 are REVERSED.

NOTE: For some reason Futaba needs the throttle channel set to REV for an ESC to work correctly.

In the SWASH submenu you select the direction each of the 3 swash functions will move. The amount is up to you, but the direction is important. If the wrong way, just hold the + or - button down to go through 0 to the other side.

The first is AILERON, which will be a negative value. Mine is -40%.

Second is ELEVATOR, which is set to a positive value. Mine is also +40%.

Last is Pitch. Again this is POSITIVE. I have mine set to +50%.

This should get your swash moving the right way. From there you will need to work on throttle and pitch curves, which can be a bit of fun. Tweaking these usually takes me as long as the built to get the way I want.

Hope that helps.
This is all correct for ccpm mode. Flymenter says not to use ccpm mode to disable it as it does the mixing for you. Thanks Muchly though Gary

However, from what I'm reading it sounds like the flymentor is NOT doing any mixing at this point, as you cannot get the correct swash movement at the heli without selecting it in the Tx.

For the 450 CCPM I select SWASH SR-3 in my Futaba radios. If you need to know the rest of the programming and mixing, PM me and I'll boot them off to you as a starting point.
Flymenter is not in use. Servos are plugged directly to Receiver . I am using SwH1 which is the one Futaba says is the most used in their manual

Re: How to.Futaba Help

Ok for now I am just using a Hitec receiver ,forget the flymenter start with basic set up. Have swash level rudder centered.Move Aileron stick left to right left front servo makes swash raise or lower (working correctly)Move Elevator stick rear center servo raises and lowers swash(working correctly)Move Rudder stick moves Tail rotor control arm in and out(working correctly)Now this is the funky one move the throttle and the right front servo moves. This is the pitch servo plugged into #6 of receiver #3 of receiver has plug from ESC plugged into it. I went into Revo mix and inh. it . That is when this started as the pitch servo never moved before. Any help greatly appreciated

That's where the Flymentor comes in. I wouldn't be able to fly it, either.
