Maybe get something small and try both? The only reason i fly helis is because the plane flying fields are too far for me.

Don't know planes but a good starter heli is the blade msr, takes a bit of practice to get good but you won't get bored of it as quickly as you would with a co-axial. If you want something super easy then the mcx2 would work. Blade helis are a bit on the expensive side but almost guaranteed to be at the local hobby store (along with parts). Another option is the Revell protomax, similar design but cheaper and not as available. Both are pretty much indoor helis but a good pilot could probably fly either outside in a bit of wind (5kph but not much more).

hey guys
Ive been running trucks for a while now and wanted to get some opinion on a good bang for you buck beginner heli. and what i should be looking for in one?
and whether or not i should buy used or new? This is probably more opinion then anything but should i consider planes?
