After reading pretty much the whole thing, the whining, complaining and so on, there is just one question that comes to mind. How come I haven't seen a picture of the thing yet?

I'd love to see that Firebird with that mid-size jet engine in it...

So here it is, 2016 and the firebird is still flying. No craters, no smoking holes, the sky has not fallen. What I laugh about now is six years ago I got crapped all over for putting an Olympus into a jet designed for an Olympus and now today we have modellers who were happy to do the crapping with engines as big or bigger going into models. Sorry to disappoint the ones who thought I was doing such a renegade thing.....

Too Funny!!

After reading through this whole post....again after all these years, it points out where some people thought the fast turbine jets were going a few years ago. It is good to see that the responsible owners of model turbine jets in Canada have kept our safety record a high priority.

I am a little disappointed though...........no video?

Me too... now I am feverishly working on my new woodworking shop (the party, as my wife would say, is OVER!) after taking most of the summer off. Besides, the weather is taking a dump here after a great summer. Sept was all rain. I wish I can get the Scorp. (the poor man's Firebird ) out for a few more before packing it in for the winter.
