I enclose a discharge curve from a 3S LiPo at 1C, which is what we typically see on the battery tests that I do.

I discharged the battery to 3.3V/cell on our company's UBA5. You can see from the fast drop at the end that the battery is almost fully discharged. By almost I mean that there's enough energy left to dead stick your plane or auto your heli, but that's it.

The load was then turned off, but the battery voltage was still recorded and it recovered to 10.3V (3.43V/cell). So this shows that a battery that's fully discharged can have a OCV (open circuit voltage) of 3.43V per cell.

Not so my friend. A LiPo is not fully discharged at 3.3 volts. Even in the 3.0 to 3.3 volts per cell range the cells still have sufficient capacity to provide power with a reasonable amount of security, but I would never personally drop below or recommend operation below 3.3 volts and if you discharge below 2.9 volts per cell, you risk permanent damage.

if you really want to know add one of these to your flight bag . Easiest and safest way I know of finding condition and volts. Even gives a %. does all different batteries .

I use a 2S 1800 mAH pack with HV electronics and I easily get 6 flights out that. When I recharge it I usually only put about 700 mAH back into it.

I get about 7 flights on my 2s 2000mah before I even worry about checking it.

If you have a means to check the voltage of the individual cells of the batt, (a simple battery checker, inexpensive) , you should be good to 3.3 volts per cell. Just keep checking it before and after each flight and as the 3.3 volt threshold approaches, take note of how many flights you flew or how long the RX was on and use that as your guide.

Fully charge, do 2 flights. Recharge with a good charger that shows mah delivered... You should safely get 4-5 flights on 1000 mah

Hey guys, how do I find out how many
Flights I can get on my Jr Vibe 50 nitro
With a 7.4v 2s 2000 mAh rx battery ? I'm taking
A guess here but 3 flights to be on safe side?
was it dont let a lipo battery drop over 30 percent?
