Actually waylander there were only a dozen or so that had Loctite on them and not enough in my opinion but I tend to over loctite a bit and wipe of excess after screw is snug. Reassurance is Insurance lol

I took it I the shop a few times to hover and build my trust with it. Not a single screw came loose or needed tightening.

EVERY screw needs to come out and loctite applied! I just built the Trex 450 Flybarless Pro trust me they all need to be checked. Other wise the whole build and setup (me being a FBL dummie) went quite well with good direction from Mike.

Good luck with the build. Its a really nice heli!
Since you just build one, can you say how many of the screws did or did not have loctite?

Ahh, interestingly, the only Align kits I've built are 450's and a 600N. I have 2 x 500's but I bought those used for scale projects. I think I'm ready for a 550 from them as the only ones I have are from Gaui and Century.

The Align kits definitely do include everything, unfortunately, in my 600N Pro kit, the loctite in the green bottle leaked and covered everything else in the same package. Also, just like their electronics which are good but not the best, I find I prefer other greases available out there. The ones they include are definitely good enough to get you in the air though.

Re: T-Rex 450 pro Super Combo

Two areas that should not be overlooked when checking bolts in an ARF are:
  • The bolts holding the feathering spindle; I've seen SEVERAL of the these come off with ARF's, usually resulting in the blades coming off the head if not caught in time. As an instructor, I'm always warning my students of this. I also periodically check the students head for this condition by grabbing the blades and pushing them in-and-pulling them out. There should be no movement. If the have some free-play, it is usually an indicator that the bolts holding the grips to the feathering spindle are coming loose
  • The same goes for tail rotor grips. the bolts holding the grips are notorious for coming loose in ARF's. Again, fix this ASAP. Also periodically check these the same way I describe to check the feathering spindle above

You said this was new? It should have come with two containers of different thread lock ( blue and green) and a tube of Align lube. Everything comes with the Align kits , including Velcro and wire ties, that you need to build them. In the box they are just partly assembled so you know what goes where.

I use tri-flow, both the grease and the oil. Both have served me well. The MOST critical area to grease is the thrust bearings in the blade grips. Pretty much EVERY heli I have ever bought has not had enough grease in there.
