You know why John, cause of old cronies like yourself, life has past you by long ago and your only happiness comes from the past. I feel very sorry for you John.[/QUOTE]

What a laugh! Why would you feel sorry for me Mike Cam?
I hope that you youngsters will come to realize that age has nothing to do with enthusiasm for model flying.
I am flying more hours and more frequently than I have ever done.
Just this week alone I have flown my recently designed Electric Free Flight E 36 model (pending plan publication in National Free Flight Magazine), two electric 3 metre RC sailplanes and a hexacopter. Being in my 70's does not mean that I have slowed down. Flying has never been such fun.

As for my comment on bigots, yes that was totally out of line and I appologise for it.

You are all just narrow minded bigots without consideration for the vast scope of this hobby. To each his own.

John thank you for bringing such an educated and passionate look into this very complex and challenging topic. You sir should have been a poet.

Now go back to your cave you crawled out of.

You are all just narrow minded bigots without consideration for the vast scope of this hobby.

How easy your statement can apply to the Pro-FAI'ers in this thread eh John, so much more in this hobby then FAI Competition.

You sir and your old guard thinking is what will get this organization in trouble. We are talking about MAAC correct, cause the hobby is doing great, MAAC is the one being left behind with the advent of park fliers and foamy's.

The amount of Model flyers is at an all time high, how come that has not translated to a booming member surge in MAAC.
You know why John, cause of old cronies like yourself, life has past you by long ago and your only happiness comes from the past. I feel very sorry for you John.

Yeah, I agree john, some of these guys take things way too serious.

........ But seriously, why do you read if it aggravates you to the point of such extreme comment?

"survived" ..... Must be some extreme model airplaning happening out your way?

Hi Ronneio,

I like the Monty Python skit that ends, "What's It Like?"

This thread has degraded in to WWF 'internet' Wrestling. (no disrespect intended to actual wrestlers!)

When I was 10yrs old, I was part of a 'Cox.049 C/L Gang'! ! !
(no kidding, at that age, we learned how to gather a crowd, before!, starting the engines in a schoolyard...)

One Friday night, we rode our 'Mustang Bicycles' to the local arena.
This guy showed up!!!!

Some how, we...

Oops, sorry, wrong Topic!

I'll try on the 'Against Maac FAI Funding' thread...

Lots of room there !

Cheers!

Have fun,

Re: For Maac FAI Funding

Actually, there has been a dramatization of my long-standing relationship with those who have taken it upon themselves to challenge my core hobby beliefs. It covers the many years of disagreement and debate.

Bugs bunny agreed to play the role of yours truly.

........insert any of my usual debaters in the assorted roles opposite bugs.

Enjoy, it's quite long, but you will have a tough time not watching till the end.
