Re: JTec Radiowave MX2 2.8m Build log Further investigation showed that I had also bent the wing tube a bit so back to the trailer for the MX2! I flew the next two known rounds as well as the Unknown with the MX2. I have perhaps a total of 30 flights on the MX2 as opposed to 400+ on the Dalton but the 2.8m MX2 feels very comfortable and flys like a bigger plane. Each round felt better and by the last sequence of the contest I even managed to win the round (beating a well flown Carden Pro as well as a Godfrey based 40%er). Not bad for a fairly unfamiliar airframe. With more practice I'm pretty confident that it could easily hold its own against the bigger competition airframes. There are a few JTec Radiowave MX2's flying in the TAS this month and I expect some excellent results. |

Re: JTec Radiowave MX2 2.8m Build log Just a little update for anyone thinking of building this plane for scale aerobatics: do it! I had the opportunity to fly the MX2 in competition recently when my primary plane (42% Dalton ML 300) had some structural issues during the second round. My caller and I didn't see a thing but a judge came up to me after landing and wondered about "the white stuff" that came off the plane! |
