Re: raptor titan issue

The bearings sit inside the frame, there is a slight amount of play there so it centers properly on spool up, check to see if the bearings are seated properly and the bearings aren't shook. Other then that it is good to go. I'll bet the belt issue was what was going on.

Re: raptor titan issue

There should be no play there??? Maybe pull the motor and check the upper and lower bearings , you could have one that's failed or the pinion wasn't red thread locked properly.

Re: raptor titan issue

Thanks for the advice and offers, I ended up going to advanced rc as they had both plastic tail housing (r30) plus titan boom in stock.

gonna install tonight.

by the way I also noticed that my clutch housing has alot of play is that normal, my other ergo 60 has no play at all. Just wondering if thats normal or if I need to change something like the clutch or tighten a screw.

Re: raptor titan issue

My offer was free but ok... AJ Hobbies has one as well. Also the belt can jump off of a pulley because it was loose and that will intensify the ratcheting affect. Hope you get it sorted out, awesome heli's to fly and bash around, lovin my new X50 can't say enough about it.

Re: raptor titan issue

Jay in the cold when you take it outside the boom gets shorter and the belt sags , therefore changing the amount of tension on it, you must run it tighter in the colder temps, the bonus is the heli's fly way better in cooler air!!!

Re: raptor titan issue

Hey Jay I have 3 housing in the packages , give me a part number from your manual, i'll fix you up, the noise you are hearing is the belt skipping or grabbing against the rear of boom near the pulleys, put it tight and tighten the srcews, this will do it, but replace that boom and rear housing, if there is any damage to it. Let me know if you can't find parts I can help you out, Jimmy.
