I'm guessing that pictures on RCC is about as close as Bill feels comfortable letting us drooling old engine buffs to his prizes!

Re: rare & cool

You just can't run those! They should be placed in a locked display case with an alarm system and maybe a couple of twenty four hour guards. Just kidding but I would for sure have them and all paperwork on display where all can see.

Looks like nib Bill.
Hard to imagine from 1936! That's 77 years old, even older than me.
Makes me wonder what the modelers will be collecting in say another 50 years.
I guess mason will be the only one around then to see.
You'll have to build a bigger shop with secure storage and a time vault!

Re: rare & cool

Thanks Merv but I'm going to try, lots of rare stuff out there.

Hi John, most car and boat engines had some sort of flywheel. Mainly in order to start the engine.
Sorry John but I won't be running these engines. Especially the last one as it is too rare and not worth the risk of breaking something.

Re: rare & cool

Very interesting. So is that like a huge flywheel on the first motor. Second engine....never seen anything like it before. Will you be running these? If you do...some video footage is called for!

Re: rare & cool

Here's the second engine and don't blame me if there is a puddle of droooool on your keyboard.
This is a Bantam made by AJ. Every Brighton 1 Sussex England
This is a 6cc gasoline four stroke with open rocker overhead valves.
Engine weighs in at 12 1/2 oz and swings a 15'' propeller at 5000rpm.
You will notice that I also received original blueprints for the engine.

This engine is super cool and I highly doubt you will ever see another.

Bill
