carbon fibre is electrically conductive

tell me about it

I recently built a RotrX Atom quad. Trying to keep things light as possible (quad is 90g without lipo), I removed all the heat shrink from ESCs and OSD. ... Chaos! So I put electrical tape over them ... Success!

the CF got very hot when the ESCs were bare on the CF too.

Since forever. CF is an excellent conductor.

Tried another voltage regulator? We had a guy crash when his failed mid flight.

mmayr I suspect the issue could be the different conductivity at frequency versus simple DC resistance

Curious for sure... I like the tin foil in the microwave answer... I don't want to risk testing it with a working vtx's though.
