Re: 1/4 Balsa USA choice?

I have the Balsa USA Fokker D7, the DR1, the Sopwith Pup, and a Supercub, all 1/4 scale. I am currently building the Spad. The best flyers are the Supercub and the Sopwith Pup. Next is the Fokker D7, and after installing a gyro on the rudder, the Tri-plane flies just great now. My D7 is 60cc electric, the DR1, the Sopwith and my BUSA Supercub are OSFX160 Glow. The Spad is electric as well. All have tailwheels. You pretty much can't go wrong with BALSA USA stuff.

I like the Sopwith too, but why choose? Just build them all!

TomGSMackay The Nieuport 17 is a nice flier- fairly gentle, but you want to set up any of them with a little rudder mixed in to aileron, probably 5 to 10%. Then they handle like Cubs

BUSA builds are super user friendly. I dont think you'id be disappointed with any choice. they are a really fun build. having said that, its always a good idea to follow someone else's build to see if the encounter and print or instruction issues. i didn't and ran into a mistake on the prints during a build of an upper wing on my N28 the everybody on earth knew about... exept me.
nice looking kits too.

WW1 are all build, ribs, ribs, and more ribs and sticks, and more sticks. They are simple straight forward builds but a huge parts count. And then the 15 foot roll of Coverrite fabric and a wild WW1 paint job. So be prepared to be a cellar dweller and buy the wife a distraction gift. Sorry I do not have a picture on file of the SE5 but this is the scheme I chose. Two weeks masking this puppy off wings are the same both of them. Worth every tine the better half said are you done yet. It is my favorite flier
