Re: Who plans to winter fly this year?

... I see - The pilot of the P51 is indeed a good one (not me though... )

Just a hunch. I saw the P51 was airborn without much takeoff roll and speed in the video. It looked comparable to the behaviour of my 3D planes.

Anyway, a good pilot makes a plane feel light.

Re: Who plans to winter fly this year?

Hi Max,

Thank you - The twin is a Dynam Cessna 310, P-51 is a Hobbyking 1700mm and P-47 is a 1400mm. We flew in a parking lot and clearing the runway took quit a bit of shovelling...

Is the flying field a parking lot?

Re: Who plans to winter fly this year?

A beautiful day for flying today at the Rideau Flyers field in Manotick, sunny, very little wind, -1° C and excellent snow conditions, what more could you ask for. About ten guys showed up to enjoy the excellent conditions, Don’s chili lunch and the great camaraderie. Luckily Ken Park was there to capture the action with his camera (I forgot mine at home) and we’ll look forward to enjoying his great images on his flicker site.
Cheers

Manny (or anybody), your welcome to come tommorow. I have another test flight, say 11am.

Dale,

Thats awesome bud! Alberta weather down here has been good too...other than the 60-80 km winds for the last 2mths might need a road trip north..
