Re: Trex 600 Pro with Ar7200BX

I got a email from KDE about Castles new firmware specifically for the XF series KDE motors. I upgraded the ESC with the update and now throttle gain needs to be adjusted. When you go from a strong pitch maneuver to a hover the motor speed is slow to steady itself. It's not a bog or a torque sound its more like a slow down of the motor as it tries to find its governed setting.

What is a normal governor gain setting for a 600? I thought 20ish was good. Even in newbs post of his settings I noticed a 25 gain and thought it was high. I'm thinking I'm about to learn something.

I've been flying the hell out of it John. Had some issues with parts. Then a crash. Why start a new thread. The whole history of this heli is right here. Great notes for me in the future.

You should never run gov on a new maiden heli..

What i do is use every thing stock then setup my radio with linear curve & a flat curve of say 70-80%..

Start off in stunt one with linear curve on cement check tail up down side to side and directions do a light hover, if everything ok, then raise heli more, then flick to stnt2 for your flat throttle curve. reason for all this, so you don't have full power into a heli when testing just in case something goes wrong etc etc..

If everything is ok after a maiden, quick fly etc etc. Then setup gov..
