I will be there, either flying my own design (Opus f3p) and/or the Elanor I am building.
This is my model, with a Scorpion motor on it. Now it has the Glavak co-runner coax.

Re: Excel V2 build, for the Worlds F3p and ETOC

Thanks!!

I think I need the power for the sequence,(and practice) so I will probably be using 180mah packs for competition. (And I just ordered 5 of them. )
Thanks for the suggestion, I will look into 120 packs for future, lighter planes.
Where do you get yours?

Only a month away!! I am getting stressed. lol, yes, I will be there!! Yourself??

What plane are you using? DD Spies? Custom?

Looks nice Free.
I had a short flight of one of Paul's, they do fly nice.

You need to get some 120 packs, that will save a few more grams.
Can be tight on the flight time to complete the sequence with a - ahem- heavier model.
My F3P plane is not too much lighter than yours, I think I am at ~106 grams with the 120 pack and the Glavak.

Next Glavak contra plane will be sub 95 (I hope : ) )

Still planning on being in Akron next month?

ESC and RX and place. It's hard to see but the negative and positive wires for all servos are soldered direct input solder tabs on the ESC. The signal wires are soldered direct the the RX.
Do you have a photo of the receiver and ESC so that we can see how you attached the servo wires?
You sure are brave to solder new wires to the bottom of the JR 188HV - very tight unless you figured out a way to get the board out of the case. So many small components to fry!

Motor's usually come with the ends of the wires pre-tinned.

How did you get the enamel off in order to solder the motor wires?
Abrasion, burning, ??
