There are a multitude of planes that will fly as good if not better than the Turbinator and do not burn the grass.

Ya, but I can't build an Avanti (beautiful jet Chad!) from sticks and planks! Any plans built 'trainer' jets without the scorching feature?

I would recommend that everyone get the TOC.
if planning on flying in the US, yes...otherwise makes no sense to me.

Re: Banning Turbines

I agree to not fly turbines in dry or harvest times. I have plenty of other stuff to fly also.

Also about necessary precautions such as fire extinguishers and such, this is something I do anyways with flying big gasser planes, and the li po fires that are also possible, at the field. Safety is #1 and should be common sense.
Unless it is a wet fall I usually just put my jets away for harvest season. I live on a farm with crops all around me and for me personally it is not worth the risk when a quarter section of canola is worth $80K at today's prices.

I'm not suggesting that everyone should quit flying during dry periods, just a choice I make.
