I laughed also at the commentary!!! I did notice there was no more IC - digs at the end of the flight... Just a surprised tone at the amount of wind it pushed!!... Just wondering if we'll see Wingburner go electrons??

Some pics of the setup....

Single 7980 on rudder with servo mounted in front of landing gear.

Reciever and batts strapped to the wing tube.

Battery tray (not shown yet) mounts to dowells in the firewall and bolts down to wing tube.

Batteries are easily accessable without taking battery tray in/out.

First 4 minute flight burnt 2750mah from the 8000 packs.

This is just about perfect flight tim at 8-9 minutes to burn off 6000-6500mah.

I'm gonna see what it feels like on a calm day, but I may go to 12000mah, just to keep the voltage up. Near the end of 7 minute flight, the packs were drawn down to 36volts under load. I may also try propping down a bit to save energy as the plane seems to have "more than adequate" pull with the 28-12.

plane flew awesome after about 30 klicks of down trim and moving the 5 pounds of battery ahead a bit!
