YES. The angle of the drills face is actually going to make it even wider where the solder goes. Just go slow & stop as the drill finally gets started at opening up the bottom of the existing hole.

Nope. There's a lot more I want to do before I get to that point. I expect the needles will need adjusting - at least, that's what the Thunderbolt tutorial said.

That gives a larger area for the solder to grip & in a case like this where vibration may be an issue I'd do the chamfer to the outside surface. For solder I generally use Acid Core on sheet metal or light gauge steel.
Thanks for the tips. I'll try that approach when I do the mod on my DLE 20. In the absence of a countersink, would a larger drill bit do?

Re: Walbro carburetor equalization kit installation

Step 4 - Reinstall the diaphragm plate and install the pressure line and film canister

I reinstalled the plate on the carburetor in the same orientation it was in before I took it off.

Next step was the pressure line.

Lastly, a location for the film canister on the other end of the pressure line.

All done!

Step 3 - Install the pressure fitting and grind it flush

I installed the pressure fitting with the thread lock and the supplied gasket...

... and ground the fitting flush with the inside of the diaphragm plate.
