Re: Flybarless flight controller question. Hello, Honest advice? NEVER USE ALIGN FBL! Honest advice 2? Beastx, Or go with Ikon with the bluetooth interface. I have tried it, and Its very very easy to setup, it helps you do the mechanical setup when you hook it the computer, it makes it very easy to find 50in50out to center servo horns and set 0 pitch. With the bluetooth you just power your heli and it will connect with the computer(must be paired before), or phone(requires an 8$ application). Honestly I don't think I will be using anything else but Ikon's from now on. Cheers |

Re: Flybarless flight controller question. this is Just my opinion but if you have the align 3gx and your familiar with the setup go for it... they fly.. they arent the best but they fly and if your new they will do whatever you need them too... I find the 3gx a pain to setup but I flew one for a year.. But I also believe that for a 700 make the investment and get a decent controller.. I prefer the Ikon but the AR7200bx is simple to setup and they just work... |

Thanks for your opinion, it's got me thinking here. Yes I am new to fbl setups, I first started with a thunder tiger mini titan that has a align 3g controller and got the hang of it quickly and then decided to get the trex700e with the Kbar controller. I too would hate to crash a bird like this, so I will read more on the Kbar units and figure out if it is a go or no go. |

hate repairing heli |
Re: Flybarless flight controller question. Hey seena If you are flying a 700, i would recommend a better quality fbl controller. The k-bar is a little too cheaply built for a heli that size. If you are new to fbl i would recommend a beastx unit. I would hate to crash a big heli over a cheap fbl problem. |

Re: Flybarless flight controller question. nooo, dont use the align garbo. The kbar is actually pretty amazing....what color do you have? I run the blue and it has the governor feature but the yellow does not have it and not sure bout the black. It's a blatent copy of the vbar..it even uses the exact same software and firmware. BUT DO NOT TRY TO UPDATE THE FIRMWARE OR IT WILL BRICK THE UNIT!!!! I had a member last week tell me wow that thing flies good, and his dad said he'd never seen a 450 fly so well and stable I also have a tarot zyx-s unit on another heli and its garbo compared to the kbar |

Flybarless flight controller question. Hello everyone, Quick question- I recently got a Trex 700e and it came with a Koala Kbar flight controller. Does anyone have experience with this controller? Or should I just replace the Kbar system with an Align 3G flight controller? Thanks for all the help |
