Re: M1000F CA glue used to repair cracked wing in foam plane

Most of the foam safe CAs are slow hardening and with enough gap, will not cure at all. The kicker should force it to kick off, but try the kicker on scrap foam as some will eat foam. I use Pacer kicker, which is foam safe.
Normally on a broken or damaged foam wing, I'll use hotglue as it is flexible. Most of the CAs are brittle.
Hope this helps.

M1000F CA glue used to repair cracked wing in foam plane

Hello,

I am repairing a cracked wing on an EFlite Apprentice S15e. I used MF1000F foam compatible CA glue as shown in the following link:

http://www.altitudehobbies.com/mercu...atible-ca-1-oz

After leaving it over night I see that the glue has not dried. The crack is not solid and I can squeeze out the liquid glue from the crack. I did not use any kicker as I thought it did not require this. Does anybody have experience with this glue, on that aircrafts type of foam> Is there a compatiblilty issue and this glue will not work?
