Re: Aeolus 50 Helicopter

Hi guys i just recieved my Aeolus 50 from hobby king, first of all i am very happy because i did not have to pay even a penny for customs or taxes, so pretty much i paid around $160cad including shipping, sweeeet!!

Then i opened the box and i was very impresed with the quality of parts, the carbon fiber is very good and specially the plastic parts they definately don't look as the regular chinese ones but this ones look very well made with a nice quality material. The canopy is regular fiber glass with an "ok" paintjob which gets better as soon as you put the stickers on.

One of the high lights that i could find out is the fact that all rotor head and tail are compatible with ALIGN trex 600, you can even switch the complete head with main shaft from yout t600 to this one, or you can upgrade the stock one with metal parts from ALIGN.

Another good point is that pretty much the helicopter is divided into several parts, i mean, you can work with any special area (lets say engine, electronics or frame) by separate without having the complete helicopter on the bench and then when ready you can put together everything at once.

e.j.: for servos is a plastic independent frame which you can work with to install all electronics carefully, then when everything is ready you just pop it to the main frame, install pushrods to swash levers and that's it, same story with engine and tail, great eh!

Anywas so far so good, i am planning to get it ready for next weekend and hopefully its performance is as great as its look itself, l'ii post some videos as well.

thanks

Jess.

By the way according with some other forums they say that the head and tail are compatible with trex 600, let's find out then.

Now that is funny if you go to helis at HK and click on gas nitro only the JS helis show up. This one shows up under all helis. I wonder what they classify it as
