Re: My Dream Field I've only flown in Toronto for contests and we have it taped off with yellow police tape, but yeah I can see people walking through the circle, could be very scary. |

Re: My Dream Field I guess so, it is more to protect the pit man and it helps to find the dolly for speed planes. The Toronto field has people walking right through the circle when flying and tripping over lines etc. as with any city, it is more for crowd control. I have had arguments from people walking through the circle that they have a right to walk anywhere they want!!?? They were pretty mad. |

Re: My Dream Field Sorry I don't like that fence at all, way to close one slip and your model is in the fence. More than once I've had a model lose line tension overhead and had to run to catch it, that would put me about 20 feet from that fence, very scary. |

Re: My Dream Field Ahhh..takes me back to my c/l days. Noblers and Fox 35's, fast combat craziness, goodyear racing, etc...and the smells of REAL castor, nitro, etc... Who remembers the nitroBENZENE smells from the pylon racer guys? Now that was to die for! (and from, as it turned out...oh well...) Always enjoyed the pull...you knew it was still out there. (or not!!!!) R/C now and having waaaaaay much fun...but still miss the pull. |
