Re: Can You Name This Pilot(s)?

Winter is getting long so here is a question. Who was the first guy to shoot down a German with a Mustang?

The guy standing in front of the first engine run up? lol Great question, up to my eyeballs, so hopefully others will get into this, and add some history behind it as well! It's very entertaining, as well as a real part of our aviation heritage.

Winter is getting long especially here in moncton where the snow banks are getting higher. I spend more time moving snow than I do building. New question: Who was the first canadian airmen killed in WW1?

Re: Can You Name This Pilot(s)?

He might very well have flown several, and they didn't always get to exclusively fly one aircraft. I read about Macki Steinhoff loaning out his prized Me-262, to another pilot, only to have it crash land. He wasn't pleased, he had a rare one that just seemed to always be serviceable.

For Mike, I'm guessing #1: Captain C.B. Sully Sullenberger, #2 Capt Robert Pearson! lol
Dave, I guess it depends on which book or photo one uses for reference material. His FW-190 has been identified from different source material as an A-4 thru to an A-8
