Dji has not taken these into account, yet people are using them as evidence they are safe.
has DJI actually implemented this promised 'no fly zone' tech yet for North america? I had assumed that was still just futureware. Of course I think they need to have the entire globe's control zones mapped as off limits on DJI products, perhaps a lot of other areas off limits for non aviation reasons as well.

Safety is one issue, as is being hired without insurance and permission as was believed done at ontario place.
is another, there is no doubt in my mind that he would be considered as endangering airsafety as in the cars 602.45 No person shall fly a model aircraft or a kite or launch a model rocket or a rocket of a type used in a fireworks display into cloud or in a manner that is or is likely to be hazardous to aviation safety.. (legally he was at an altitude that aircraft fly in, usually light aircraft flying circuits around the cn tower, assuming the obvious, he had no way of being contacted by tower, no radio licence, no way of monitoring frequency, and no permission he would not know if an light aircraft was entering the space and a what altitude, was he "likely" to be a hazard, yes (the language does not say "is" just likely.)
The fact he did it what looks early in the morning shows he is aware of some of the risks, who wouldn't be. He like so many others are not aware of the laws being broken, laws that have a are taken very seriously by the police. We have been trying to educate for years, the situation now is getting out of control. Not only will someone get hurt, it will bring everyone under the spotlight, a place where you wont want to be.

Holly ----, forget the red bull crap. This is serious... Me and my father have our private pilots license, that is pretty well the "city tour route" that Pierson sends you on if you request a tour of the city. It keeps you low, like that height and you literally fly around the cn tower as the turn around point... This guys a ----ing moron... Seriously, THAT should be what the concern is. Not the red bull pilot 50' above the ground...

Please excuse my French, this actually pisses me off.

Probably the right approach. The best defence against government oversight and restriction is to police and educate ourselves. I'm confident that the vast majority of operators are conscientious and safety minded, the rest need to be educated and/or reigned in to ensure that our current freedoms aren't restricted.
