Re: 905 squadron/amac swapmeet 2016! :d Thanks to everyone for coming out and attending out 2016 Swap Meet, we managed to sell almost all the tables by start time due to many last minute dealers coming in. The crowd turnout was great too! Will post a link to photos soon. Sorry to hear you were disappointed with the show brianw, sadly it's really dependent on what you were looking for versus what was available, and of course we never have any idea what folks plan to bring and sell. In terms of space, we have tried a bigger gig at Markham Fairgrounds a few years ago with tons of space and an aftershow indoor fly but this proved very expensive for the club so we settled for the tried and true Newmarket Center for the time being. I'd love to go back to Markham again, but we need a bigger guaranteed turnout for that. I do however have some ideas on how to make this happen, we will see for next year

Re-acquainted with many friends and some i hadn't seen in many years.... for me the catching up with old friends an making a few new ones is more the reason I go... great show guys.... now time to fly.. see you all on the fun fly circuit. D. |

Re: 905 squadron/amac swapmeet 2016! :d I was quite disappointed, 4 of us made the long drive down from london and while we were in line with about 300 other people watching planes leave the building before 10am, we were all upset. The venue was so tight, shoulder to shoulder trying to look over, under and around people just to see what was on the tables........the only thing I purchased was 3 raffle tickets. Waste of time and gas. Guess its just me being spoiled with Londons swap meet.....Just my opinion, i mean no disrespect to the club/organizers. |

Make sure you grab a table if you haven't already, if not, make sure you come out and grab some great deals and try and win a great raffle prize at the show! I've got 3 ARFs from our friends at Pinnacle to raffle off and they may bring a few goodies too! Hope to see everyone there! Weather is predicted to be sunny and 20 degrees!!! I'm also going to be selling stuff this year for the first time ever, got some great and modern goods I'm looking to part with to fund some new projects. Can't wait till Sunday! |
