Dunno Paul. Both have their good points and in the smaller sizes electric is so predictable and convenient.

Then again I like cleaning a nitro after a flight - really!

It will be awhile before I get to it so time to think.

Go for it. I was looking around for some colour scheme ideas for my Sea Cat when I found this site: http://myunclewilliestoo.com/about10.html Has pictures/plans of both of our planes and some full scale pics of yours.

Nice Plane!!

It should be a dream to fly as I have flown Ken Willard's Pond Hopper and it is almost the same layout as the Skimmer.

Are you going to go nitro or electric?

Looks like a nice planing hull and not really built that heavy for a waterborne aircraft. I have an original kit from 40 years ago and never got around to building it.

Maybe the time has come!

Lovely airplane! I remember lusting after one... With today's radio gear, there is no reason why it wouldn't convert easily.
