Re: Im new in RC helicopter Used transmitters are a bit of a gamble sometimes. If you can verify that it's never been dropped or abused, then it can be a good deal. But I'd recommend getting new, and just jumping right into the Taranis. It's a fully programmable transmitter, for a great price - unbeatable value. Some may have preferences for older brands, and will even claim that the 'feel' of the sticks or switches are worth a premium price. If you aren't already brainwashed, then don't believe it!  I switched from decent quality JR stuff to Taranis, and the VAST difference in programmability (Taranis is superior) and VAST difference in price (Taranis is less expensive) is totally worth it. The money you save here, for a full function transmitter, will allow leave more of your budget for the other bits. You can get *great* value in used helis, especially big stable trainers that others have grown out of, if that's where you're at. To each their own. -Trevor |

Re: Im new in RC helicopter do you have any idea how to fly a helicoptor... you are jumping into the deep end of the pool.. you should also invest in a SIM.... maybe a smaller heli first as well. my 2cents |

Re: Im new in RC helicopter For the buget you have, being frugal is important. You can save some money by getting a good used transmitter. Definitely shop around here on RCC for used transmitters. Dont be buying old stuff though. A good recent model of Spektrum, Futaba or Hitec radio is what I would be looking for. |
