Arthur do you have a build thread on yours .. Up next for me is the belly scoop . I moved the scoop froward to the tropical location but the tropical filter is much larger and travels further back on the plane so I will need to build it up and pull a mold .. I am not going for perfect scale but I think I can do a bit better ..

Yeah I will be taking a ton of pictures of this one before it goes in the air .
Funny max I looked a at bunch of finished Carf spitfires and I just could not live with that Kadet 40 cowl . Maybe just because I know it's wrong so it draws my attention or just being to picky for my own good . I think Brian would approve though .I am trying to do a good gob in his memory . The spitfire had a long, smooth flowing, sleek looking hood, you can't just cut it in half LOL. would be like cutting a line across the top of the tank on my Triumph Speedmaster and lining it with a row of fake dry wall screws LOL.

Re: CARF SPITFIRE ASSEMBLY and SCALE DETAILING

A few pictures of the side panel attachments and the structure I built to connect all the parts at the front of the plane . also a picture of the new epoxy glass composite panels . next I will reinforce around the side panel exhaust cutout . though the first side panels I made gave me a good idea of what the plane looked like with the correct lines I was not happy with the quality of the panels so I made new ones for both sides , these ones are much better . You really need to stick with it when you do builds like this because most items need to be done multiple time to get it right .
