Re: Hobby King Golden Hawks Sabre Hi, I picked one of these today from a buddy. Where did you place your bungee hook and battery. What are you using aileron and elevator throws? I plan to go bungee launch and belly land. thanks - ken |

Re: Hobby King Golden Hawks Sabre Right now, with all the stuff I have on my plate, I can't even find time to go to the flying field once a week. I still have to get the Arrow test flown and Banshee II needs to have a few more flights on it also for testing purposes. I'm sure glad I retired a few years ago, why I don't know, I had more spare time back then. At any rate that Sabre is in it's box with a coat of wood dust on it. Later this month, maybe I'll get the mod's I wanted to do done so I can have a beater for the winter. |

Re: Hobby King Golden Hawks Sabre I have a little foam version of the Golden Hawks F86 from KMP. I just came in from putting a couple more flights on it (up to 5 now) and it flys ok..not great but ok...35mm fan and 1000ma 3 cell gets 5 1/2 min of flying. I am still a newb to EDF's and electric planes in general, I have 3 edf's now, the F86, a Habu foamy and en EDF F18 (the fastest of the three) and every flight I learn a bit more. I have been using a bungee launcher to get in the air and that seems to be the way to go. Bill |

Re: Hobby King Golden Hawks Sabre I found that thread earlier, didn't really help all that much, no info on CG and stuff. Wish I had found it before purchase though. Thanks though, I'll keep looking, maybe I'll do a short manual myself and with the extra fiberglass ducting, make a buck or two.... there's always opportunities knocking..... John |

Re: Hobby King Golden Hawks Sabre I can tell you that its a ProDesign model, and thats about it. You can ask them yourself for any other info..http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1134704 Very strange that they would put the battery compartment were they did Not only is the batteries killing the thrust, but so is the fues formers. I think you should definitely do as you mentioned, and move the fan back and the batteries to the front. Pic of the ProDesign Mig. Very similar AC as you know |
