Good to know. I always question when guys start to modify their heli with non standard parts. Hopefully a new higher end tail servo will sort things out.

If you decide to keep your Chase 360 you mind as well hold on to those parts. If you sell them you will eventually need them. You know how it goes.

Re: KDS Chase 360

Hi Tim, do you have your tail locked in with your gain settings? If so are you using the stock tail section or did you upgrade to new tail assembly? Did you upgrade other parts?

I am experiencing fast tail wag and even after dropping the gain down to 20 it is still their but much better. When spooling up there is no vibration and the wag only kicks in once it gets in the air. I rechecked the operating frequency for the KST DS215 tail servo and I increased it from 200 to 333Hz but I didn't get a chance to test it out yesterday due to the mishap. People are suggesting shims, thicker tail booms, aluminum tail booms, new tail servo etc to get the tail sorted. I find it hard to believe that we need to start messing with stock parts to get the heli dialed in. When I do the rebuild I will move the tail servo to the back and replace it with a MKS95i.

I agree, much better you were grounded when that occured.

Good luck Rick!

Re: KDS Chase 360

I am going to move my tail servo to the rear as well.

I went to the field today to run up the Chase and check my tail wag situation. Unfortunately it tipped while taking off braking the tail boom, boom supports, vertical stabilizer and blades. After taking it apart I realized I installed the lower main shaft mount upside down so the bearing popped out. In hindsight it was probably better to happen while on the ground. Too bad I did not know about your parts earlier as I placed a couple of orders already.

Re: KDS Chase 360

Also, Rick or anyone else.
I have about 45 spare parts (BNIB) for this heli that I think I'm going to sell off soon.
Not sure if I will sell the heli yet..... But it does have a Xnova motor 2618-1860, & Hobbywing 50A up front.

I will probably post in a day or two.... if interested.

Re: KDS Chase 360

Tim, is your tail servo at the front or rear position?
