Re: mcpx question

I brought the Heli used here On RCCanada so taking it back to the lhs is not possible. It came with this swash plate. Right now for me the rubber band around the outside of the 2 links is working good and it hovers really well. I have another swash but it fits the same way. Until I need a new one I'll keep using it this way. With this setup it can't pop off.

Re: mcpx question

Microheli swash plates have been known to have undersized balls, I had to send one back due to this and when I did they told me there was alot that went out this way. Your not the only one, take it back to your lhs.

Re: mcpx question

Most people add o rings to reduce the slop. It's all personal preference but I think it helps

Re: mcpx question

My problem is the link is to big for the ball. I through of using a "O" ring behind the link but was afraid it would push it to far out on the ball so I went the other way with a rubber band to pulling it onto the ball. The top of the link at the blade holders is OK.

Re: mcpx question

I totally agree the slop has to be removed but...

are the both of you saying your links are too big or your balls are too small?

I have remedied this a bit by putting a small rubber band that goes around the out side of the two links kind of pulling them in on the ball. I have flown it this way and it seem to work well and the Heli fly's smooth. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem. Is there a better brand of swash plate that I could use?
Not sure if it made enough difference but I installed silicone o-rings on all ball links:
