Re: LifePo Receiver packs +1 to everything posted. I switched everything to hobbico Life packs a few years ago. The only exception now is my HV 2S lipo direct set-up. I'll never buy a regulator again haha. |

Re: LifePo Receiver packs And you can buy them for $30 if you like Hobbico or you can buy them for under $10 if you're OK with HK.  Vast majority are using them in our club. I am using 2100mah for on board glow and receiver combined since the on-board glow I have operates off 6.6v and draws under an amp. |

Re: LifePo Receiver packs All my new planes have them, and I will be changing the old ones as needed. Pro's.... charge them in the plane. they don't catch fire. very, very low self discharge rate. charge up at high rates if needed. etc, con's... may need a regulator for ignition systems that only go to 6volt. can't check capacity between flights as they stay at 6.6 forever....then drop off the deep end. To check capacity, take a couple of flights and charge, see how much you put back into them. I love them! |
