Its a combination of cheap servos and a low battery on the servo tester. I got the lights from a home hardware, they are clip on lights for reading books in the dark. They have a single white LED and a silver reflector.

I used a HK hatch hinge, did some surgery on the reflector and hinge in order to glue them together at the right level so they actuate correctly. Then I had to solder a 200 ohm resistor in series with each LED to maintain a 30 mA current.

I used an RC Lander on/off switch from pw-rc.com to switch the lights and a turnigy rate controller slowly deploys/retracts the lights while it also slowly turns the lights on/off...

The hardest part was the 1/16th ply panel cutout. Lucky for me I have a friend who has a laser cutter and he was instrumental in getting the cutting done perfectly.

Thanx. This puppy has been flying for a few years now, so maidenfest isn't for her...

LOL. That is why I am going to see how you do with your A-26 and learn from your experience before I commit to anything for my plane..LOL
Well that happens when you don't ask right people about that particular model. Since ur having such a difficult time with my old bird, maybe we could work something out and i can get it back. I know exactly how to make her fly again...

Hopefully the solid ground won't be a factor. We beefed up the stab just like you said too. Thanks for that tip. Mike

Hi, have done it, they fly !
Fly with 6s lipo.
So it goes really fast, and I can start on our smal grass runway.
Next project is already at home. DC3 with a 3 meter wingspan.
'll Still make a nice video and the link set.
What exactly do you build?
Greetings from Lieboch
Michael
