LiPo survivability

6 Attachment(s)
Looks as if LiPo's, at least this one, are fairly resilient.
put my 4*60 in from 50' this was all that was left, but the battery still takes a full charge and delivers power as good as ever, motor needs some serious help, all servos test good, RX trashed. long walk to recover though, ;-)

I agree with Bill, get rid of it, not worth the chance of something happening in the future with it.

discharge it....and then dispose of it. Its impossible to tell how much damage was done internally and with the price of Lipo's these days its not worth the risk to the next model its in....or your house/car etc.

Another voice in favour of disposal. That thing is mangled.

Re: LiPo survivability

Should dispose of it for sure all good advice. I know some people try to save money not replacing damaged lipos (never recommended) I was one of those guys. I thought if i balance charge and all cells are close to even its fine. Not! I had it catch fire after landing. When they are damaged they are extremely dangerous mine was a 4s 4000mah plane was destroyed. Lucky it wasn't in my house charging!
