well.... as a person that has an FAC, if that is a real gun I am dissapointed..... Bullets travel farther than you think they will. What if that bullet went through some farmers window in the house a mile away.

Hopefully this does not give out idea's..... I can see it already.

Watch closely @ about 3:10 - 3:15, I'm not convinced that it's just CO2 & BB's.

If it wasn't CO2 and bbs wouldn't the recoil from the gun cause problems with the flying? On top of that, you see a strike on the wing of the other plane. If that was even a .22 bullet it would have done more damage.

Thirdly, where would he be storing all the ammo? He reeled of a good number of rounds. There's no way he could store that many rounds of even .22.

I did see the muzzle flash though.

There are smaller calibers than .22 available - .17 for example and I thought his bursts were pretty short 3-4 rounds @ time. I didn't think he even used up 50 rounds.

I never notices the flashes.

There's a number of War Boat clubs that duel it out. They have CO2 cannons monted on their decks. They shoot at the other boat and try to sink it.

This is a typical catalogue for these war ships.
Notice that they supply all the cannon hook up stuff.

and for all we know, what I'm seeing is distortion of the image sensor from the recoil of the bb's leaving the plane. There's a film in front of most sensors that is pretty delicate, and if you scrape off the coating on some of them you can create yourself a nice IR camera ;)

Gut reaction is that this is a bunch of good-old-boys who don't care for rules or safety or risks (perceived or otherwise.) Watched the video and saw that they were French -- since very few of us know what the French safety code is like, we really can't comment.

Yes, we do have RC Combat as an event, but not combined with FPV, and they aren't doing air-to-air gunnery.

As Bugs Bunny once quoted "What a bunch of maroons!"
