AN-225 is in Calgary presently anyone went to see it???
 

I just saw this thread on A.net that world's biggest transporter aircraft AN-225 has been at Calgary airport since morning today. Did anyone of Rcc members saw it or heard about it and went to get it's pictures???

No way, I didn't know that. I'm about 30 km form the airport but it would be worth the drive just to see it. Maybe I'll take the kids up there...

Appearantly it's gone already, was only here briefly to pick up a gas plant (that is, the WHOLE gas plant!!!) to take to Nigeria.

My brother got to load a bunch of sangels equipment on one in calgary a few years ago he said standing in it was amazing could drive a semi and trailer right two of em side by side with pleanty of room to spare lol

One showed up at Abbotsford one year, there must have been a thousand people standing under the wing for shade. It wasn't crowded!

As ground service, the last thing youi want to hear is, "Check the tires..."

Thanks Cicopo for taking pictures of this flying Goliath and posting it's link for us to see, man what an amazing power those 6 engines have to carry all that weight and still be able to rotate at that steep on an angle !!!....

Bloody awsome, I saw it when it was in Abbotsford at the airshow some years ago.
