Receiver Packs?

What's a good high quality long lasting Receiver Pack for a 1/8 buggy?

Thanks.

Lipo receiver packs is one of the best upgrades I've ever made.

Depends on your RX as well. Some do not like the full 7.4V and can overheat. The regulators out there I don't think are the best either. It is all about the 6.6V LiFe packs!

If you have high voltage servos and a lipo charger I would switch to the lipo. If not I would get a 5 cell Orion 1600 nimh battery.

As for receivers most can handle the high voltage i.e... Futaba, spektrum

I was thinking of this, laying it flat with velcro in the front of the buggy to help balance the rc8.

Get a LiPo or LiFe!!!! the nimh batteries are so last century and are almost twice a heavy.

The ProTek ones from amainhobbies are great and cheap, what more could you ask for.

will they work with stock RC8 rtr servos/reciever ? or will it over heat them?

Here is the ProTek LiFe RX pack (flat) ($30)
