CF 101 Voodoo kits....
 

Today I went to see Voodoo 006 that JAM in London On acquired couple weeks ago from a closing a museum in east end of the country, man what beautiful aircraft Voodoos are, this was my first time seeing it up close and personal. It will take 10 years to restore in hopefully taxi able condition as 006 needs lots of restoration work as she sat out doors for 20 years plus!. This makes to think off someone who produced DF kits of Voodoos back in 90's, from what I remember they were sizable models. I would love to have a nice 1/8 to 1/9 scale edf Voodoo in my fleet. Does anyone know who made those kits?

Believe it or not, Riverside Modelers here in NB have a Voodoo almost outside the gate. Town (Village?) of Hillsborough owns it, the location happens to be coincidental. Poor thing needs some work though.

CF-101 is really the only pre-Hornet CAF fighter I can honestly say I've seen fly. CFB Chatham had a squadron, so special events in Moncton usually got a flypast.

Grew up near Comox, so 409 sqn scrambles during the cold war were pretty frequent....
Up close, those things would suck the air out of your lungs with the noise and pressure wave. If you were by the end of the runway during a full burner takeoff, you literally could not breathe until they were some distance away.. Raw, brutal power !!

Someone in Quebec offered a kit a few years ago.. It looked really nice, but seemed rather pricey at the time...

Nice choice Sammy!

I would love to see one of the jet companies do a big Voodoo but, they seem to prefer doing another F-16 :(

Scratch building from 3-views and a scale plastic model might be your only alternative if you cant find a kit :-(. I'm sure its nothing you can't handle though ;)

That's what I do after first posting on here to get word out n then do google search, usually I get my answers or some right direction on here. Yup quite a bit info out there and YouTube videos also plus rcu thread, that I will see later on. Chances are that I might be able to find one of those kits or already built n flown model.

Googled and emailed them a year ago to get a kit , my dad worked on and I believe flew in hawk one at Comox. No response from the people that made them which I believe are in Italy

Too bad my dad would love it if I could build one.
